23 May, 2011By: Ahmed Alhaj (Site Admin)
Khartoum, May 23 (Sudanow) – Sudan, Chad and Central African Republic are holding a tripartite summit evening Monday to review regional security and stability.
President Idris Debby of Chad, President Francois Bouzize of CAF, and President Bashir of Sudan are meeting in Khartoum on Monday to review regional security and stability in the joint borders between the three states.
Sudan and Chad are already linked to a joint military agreement according to which a joint force has been created mopping the border lines between Sudan and Chad. The agreement has helped reduce border insurgency activities and has almost put an end to all Chadian opposition activities.
"This summit is expected to boost the joint borderlines between the three countries, " Sudan's Minister for Information, Dr Kamal Obeid, said following the arrival of president Debby to Khartoum followed by President Bouzize.
He said the one day summit meeting will review economic, political and social issues of common interest between the three countries.
