Sudan-Russia conclude cooperation agreements
23 December, 2013Khartoum, (Sudanow) -The joint Sudanese-Russian ministerial committee, during three days of meetings that ended on Wednesday, concluded several protocols and memoranda of understanding on economic and trade cooperation.
The leader of the Sudanese side, Mining Minister Ahmed Mohamed al-Karouri, said in statements , the two sides signed three protocols on cooperation in the fields of mining, health and electricity.
The committee also signed seven memoranda of understanding covering cooperation in the fields of trade, economy, development, railways, aerial transport, infrastructure, agriculture, animal resources, petroleum, gas and banking, said Dr. Karouri.
He said the two sides decided that the ministerial committee would be constant and would meet in six months’ time in Moscow to discuss what has been carried out of the reached agreements.
The private sectors of the two countries took part in the discussions, said Karouri, adding that a number of Russian companies expressed a desire in doing business in the Sudan.
