Sudan, Niger discuss bilateral relations

Khartoum, Sudan (PANA) - President Omar El-Bashir of Sudan on Wednesday sent a special envoy to deliver a message to his Nigerien counterpart, President Mahamadou Issoufou, relations between Niamey and Khartoum, including economic, social and security relations.
The semi-official Sudan Media Centre (SMC) said the head of the Sudanese National Security and Intelligence, General Mohamed Atta, flew to Niger to deliver the message, which also touched on developments in Libya and their impact on security, economic and social situation in the neighbouring countries, including Sudan and Niger.
Atta also extended an invitation to visit Sudan from President El-Bashir to Issoufou.
Accepting the invitation, Issoufou was quoted by SMC as saying the visit would take place as soon as possible and that it would focus on ways to boost economic and political relations between the two countries.
