President Bashir receives Kiir of south Sudan in Khartoum on Saturday

Khartoum , Sudan (Sudanow)-President Omar Al Bashir of Sudan on Saturday received President Salva Kiir of South Sudan, the first such meeting since the two men ratified the outcome of a referendum that set the Sudan into two separate state, July this year.
Kiir, till July 2011 was deputy for Bashir, was received on Saturday as fully fledged president of the Republic of South Sudan, was given a full red carpet reception with the south Sudan flag flown at full mast and the national anthem played for the first time on (north) Sudan soil.
After close door 15 minutes meeting at the presidential Hall in Khartoum airport and a few formalities , president Bashir and Kiir drove off in separate black presidential limousine.
The two sides are to hold full session of discussion evening Saturday. A ministerial delegation arrived here evening Friday and has been in session since then.
Officials from both sides declined to make any comment, not even an arrival terse statement at the airport. There was not popular display about the arrival of Kiir although a huge community of south Sudanese are still in Khartoum. President Bashir in July give southerners in the north nine months to prepare for moving out.
