27 March, 2016By: Aisha Braima
KHARTOUM (SUDANOW) - The Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF) have denied as false allegations bombing areas in South Sudan Upper Nile region neighboring Sudan.
SAF spokesman brigadier Ahmed Khalifa al-Shami said in a statement to Sudan News Agency that the unfounded allegation was a cover-up of the failure by Juba government to manage its internal problems.
The spokesman accused the government of South Sudan of using Ugandan military aircraft for shelling eastern Upper Nile to force opposition tribes to migrate to the western areas to leave those areas to the Dinka tribe which supports the government.
He said Juba allegation was also a cover-up of meetings in the region ofthe Sudanese rebel movements with officials of the government of South Sudan to discuss provision of military support to those movements which are fighting SAF in South Kordofan, Blue Nile and Darfur.
