All Gulen-Linked Properties in Sudan to be Closed

KHARTOUM (Sudanow.info.sd) - Sudan has decided to close down all entities related to Turkish cleric leader Fethulla Gulen, accused of being behind recent foiled coup in Turkey.
Professor Ibrahim Ghandour, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, said the move was taken on instruction by President Omer al-Bashir who had gave orders to close down all properties affiliated to the Turkish clerk Gulen in Sudan.
In statement carried by the Arabic independent daily “Al-Sudani” (Arabic for the Sudanese) on Thursday, the minister said the decision came after the Turkish President Erdogan announced on Friday that he would cut off the lifeline of Gulen businesses, blaming the US-based preacher for being behind the recently foiled coup.
Ghandour denied reports that Gulen has 20 companies operating in the Sudan. He said their number is much less than the figures cited by these reports, but he provided no specifics.
Last Saturday the Sudanese government withdrew the licenses of two schools belonging to Gulen and handed them over to a Sudanese private company.
