Delegation of the European Union welcomes Measures announced by Sudan to create a Climate conducive to a National Dialogue

Khartoum, (Sudanow) - The European Union on Wednesday issued a statement welcoming the recent political developments in the country and calling for further action this direction. Following is the text of the statement:
Delegation of the European Union welcomes Measures announced by Sudan to create a Climate conducive to a National Dialogue
The Delegation of the European Union to Sudan welcomes the intention of the Government of Sudan to call for a national political dialogue as announced during the inauguration of the seventh session of the National Assembly on 02nd April 2013.
The Delegation has observed, as a first step, the release of an initial group of detainees and encourages the government of Sudan to release all the political prisoners as announced, paving the way for the national dialogue.
The Delegation of the European Union to Sudan confirms its conviction that a national reconciliation process will strengthen Sudan's democratic credentials and its prospects for a sustainable development.
